House of Representatives Finally to Act on Mortgage Modification in Bankruptcy?

I recently posted that the House of Representatives were going to vote on a piece of legislation that would allow bankruptcy judges in Chapter 13 to modify mortgages when the debtor's house is worth less than the balance on the mortgage.  At that time, everyone thought the House would take action.  Well, they postponed taking a vote. This morning, however, I hear reports the H.R. 1106 is set for a vote at 11:30am.  Debate will take place from approximately 12:30pm - 1:30pm.  The House is then set for recess and will come back into session at 4:30pm or later to vote on amendments and final passage. Let's keep our fingers crossed I recently posted that the House of Representatives were going to vote on a piece of legislation that would allow bankruptcy judges in Chapter 13 to modify mortgages when the debtor's house is worth less than the balance on the mortgage.  At that time, everyone thought the House would take action.  Well, they postponed taking a vote.
