Consumer Bankruptcy Filings Up 36% in April 2009


According to statistics from the National Bankruptcy Research Center, there were 125,618 consumer bankruptcy filings in April 2009.  This represents a 3.5% increase over March 2009 and a 36% increase over April of last year.
